London Living?

As higher education beckons, I find myself having to face the realities of potentially being a student in London.

Any good advice on where to find cheap accommodation/not to get stabbed/live on a loan/where to go out would be greatly appreciated. I trust there must be some London arts students past and present lurking the forum!

Gumtree looks just the job, cheers. Yeah it's not a definite yet, but fingers crossed...

what course/college you thinking about?

Graphic design at the LCC ideally. Also looking at Saint Martins and Camberwell, aiming high.

Just started putting together a portfolio site with a few projects as well...

Just a quick follow up, got a place at Central Saint Martins. Starting this September, exciting times!

amazing. good work dude. what course? did you find a place to live?

Cheers, doing BA Graphic Design. Yeah applying for halls near Old Street for the first year, bit easier than sorting out a flat share without knowing anyone there yet.

perfect. just down the road from the protein hq.

central st martins not te best of courses...factory for international (mainly asian) students.
Camberwell, KINGSTON are far better.
Lcc used to be good (back in the day when it was LCP) but now like the rest of them badly lacking in funds so lots of students hardly any tutors..
